Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Hookzo — the Hookzo browser extension, the website at hookzo.app, and related services (together, the "Service"). By installing the extension or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What Hookzo is

Hookzo is a browser extension that runs inside Instagram and TikTok in your own browser. It reads content that is already visible on the page, ranks posts by public engagement metrics, and uses AI to generate original short-video scripts. Hookzo reads what's on screen — it does not act on your social accounts (no auto-liking, auto-following, posting, or messaging).

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You sign in with email or Google via our authentication provider. You're responsible for keeping access to your email/Google account secure, and for all activity under your Hookzo account. One free allowance is granted per account and per browser install; creating multiple accounts to bypass usage limits is not permitted.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and in line with the terms of the platforms you browse (including Instagram's and TikTok's terms). You are solely responsible for how you use captured data and generated scripts. You may not use Hookzo to harass, infringe others' rights, scrape at scale for resale, or circumvent platform protections. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or these Terms.

5. Plans, billing & cancellation

Hookzo offers a Free tier and paid Pro plans (monthly and yearly). Payments are processed by our merchant of record, Polar, which handles billing, taxes, and receipts. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; you keep Pro access until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.

6. AI-generated content

Scripts are generated by third-party AI models based on the inputs you provide. Output may be inaccurate, generic, or similar to content produced for others. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and ensuring your right to use any output. Hookzo makes no guarantee about results, performance, or earnings. As between you and Hookzo, you own the scripts you generate, subject to the AI provider's terms.

7. Intellectual property

The Hookzo name, brand, software, and prompts are owned by Hookzo and protected by law. These Terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the Service.

8. Not affiliated with Instagram or TikTok

Hookzo is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta, ByteDance, Instagram, or TikTok. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. Because Hookzo depends on third-party platforms that change without notice, features may break or change. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hookzo is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations) will survive.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
